The ASCO Mission
ASCO is a professional oncology society committed to conquering cancer through research, education, prevention and delivery of high quality patient care.
ASCO has nearly 30,000 members worldwide. Its membership is comprised of clinical oncologists from all oncology disciplines and sub-specialties including medical oncology, therapeutic radiology, surgical oncology, pediatric oncology, gynecologic oncology, urologic oncology, and hematology; physicians and health care professionals participating in approved oncology training programs; oncology nurses; and other health care practitioners with a predominant interest in oncology. International members make up approximately 25 percent of the Society’s total membership and represent more than 100 countries.
