BELLY BAND STUDY

In October 2000, The Walchli Tauber Group conducted a survey to a sample of 500 subscribers to the AUA News to determine the visibility of the Belly Band to physicians. The AUA News is a urological news tabloid, published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins for the American Urological Association. It carries a Belly Band on all 8 issues annually.

The study was conducted to 500 randomly selected domestic subscribers to AUA News. It was conducted under the cover of The Walchli Tauber Group and a 20% response rate was received. The results to the survey are as follows:

bullet23% slid the ad off
bullet10% turned the publication over and removed it from the back
bullet33% found the belly band annoying

bullet21% found it useful
